I AM A NEW PERSON

I AM A NEW PERSON

By Rev. Marilyn L. Redmond

In a meditation, I rise out of the universe and beyond. I found myself in the unlimited sunlight. From this view, I see the endless horizon. The feelings of abundance and prosperity fill the air and are within me. This occurrence lasts for the morning. I know it is all there is and available for me. I feel the presence of All That Is immersed in love.

Archangel Michael tells me that the path is clearing for the unhealed core issues to surface and be felt. My past vasanas are coming up and leaving as gut pains. I am reminded that Pure Love casts out all fear. My life had been fear based for years. This is uncomfortable but I slow down enough for the process to happen. I am familiar that when the good comes in and the unresolved emotions leave. Having been a workaholic and over achiever, this is a challenge. I describe this process in my books at Amazon. I was told years ago when my mental illness erupted, to say, "Yippy, skippy it is leaving".

In addition, I am informed that I will be the one in my family to heal six generations of family anger. Realizing that I had been living in my parents' woundedness become real. These stuffed feelings were the basis for many of my emotions and finally can leave. Now, with 40 years of recovery from a background of sexual abuse, domestic violence, mental illness, addictions, past lives, and medical related issues to get my attention, with more old fears as worries, and negativity finally surface to leave

I had no feelings for years. When I was younger, I stuffed my ordeals to survive. Identifying these past issues daily for many years at a conscious and soul basis and releasing them has brought authenticity. I had been stuck at the age of an emotional three year old from seeing my mother beaten by my father, thinking I was next. I identify the source of each these old emotions to heal and let them go. I describe the process in "Paradigm Busters".  I am told, growing up, is not for sissies. Growing up from my first time on earth until now has been my full journey, to let go and let God.

Now there is space for love and grace to fill me. I see life as neutral and I do not need to see events as good or bad. It would take a book to relate my spiritual journey from the Pleiades and my path of past lives to currently help others and raise the consciousness of the planet from my experience and wisdom. They just are there to influence my moving into reality.

Now, I understand as my friends leave over time, that our energies no longer match. Attracting healthy people brings a new life filled and surrounded in love. I understand when I am filled with love, that is the amour of God, and negative energies repel. Turning on the light within brings the truth and reveals itself.

I release more core issues as I rise out of the universe it feels like I have moved out of the blue print for my life challenges. Safety is the complete relinquishment of attack. No longer defending myself through past neglect, abandonment, wanting to die, or future worries, has given me a new set of eyes. I feel like a completely new person. I forgive, have compassion, and thank those people for providing the opportunities I needed to identify my core issues allowing me to return home.

My eyes look back at me from my mirror in my bedroom in a self-assured and complimentary way I never saw before. Seeing me as a normal person with confidence is new. Sensing myself as younger surprises me as I am calm and comfortable. With this new inner experience, I approve of myself before leaving to do errands.

I went to my appointment driving with a fresh, bigger, and more rational vision of clarity feeling empowered. I like my authority. I even joked with the person helping me, which was a first for me and walked away feeling normal. A kind man opened the door for me to leave as I use a cane.

Driving home, I cry listening to the very high tones of a violin concerto on the radio. The resonance is so beautiful that I merge with the tones. Another pointer verified my change as I enjoy the warm sun sitting on my patio. I viewed the leaves on the tall trees surrounding my home shimmer in the soft winds as the sunshines on them. Their iridescence is so glorious that I fill with ecstasy for the magnificence of nature and the universe. Michael tells me that I am one with the "Source of All There Is"  as I experience the positive energy in all things. Life is good.

A New Christmas Story

By Marilyn L. Redmond

Christmas is a time for gifts. What kind of gifts are you giving this year? I always met my obligation to have gifts for the family members. This was not easy when growing up without an allowance and only a few babysitting jobs. Over the years, they were always given from duty. Somehow, I managed to find items that were useful. I had fulfilled my requirement.

I was not supposed to receive gifts because I was not worthy. Therefore, I did not have any real sentiment in the giving or the receiving. As I was emotionally shut down from my past trauma, I only acted as if I were into the gift giving. The packages at Christmas were very pretty in the colorful season wrappings and bows. I performed the wrapping of the gifs as a routine needing to be accomplished.

My unemotional life was the only one I knew at the time as I grew up and into my marriage. Holidays were not a joy to which I looked forward. My feelings were shut down and a holiday did not change that until I changed my life style when I needed to recover from a past of neglect, abuse, and trauma. The doctor told me I was dying.

I was living in fear where I swiftly reacted in survival reactions. I did not have life skills. Fortunately, I found answers for recovery into becoming a living human being. There was another way to address life. Finding a spiritual path that could replace the fear with love was unique and novel to me. Because I had nothing to lose, I decided to try this new path of faith and trust.

Gradually, I was able to release the past baggage of harms, people, and situations that were the bases of my life. I had never heard of faith in church or how powerful that could be. Growing in faith, I told myself. God I need more faith for this one, here we go again. I did feel faith come in. I continued to do this as I had more difficult life challenges emerge. Each time as my faith grew I was able to respond in more appropriate ways with loving practical actions.

Then I realized I had never trusted anyone, as my parents were mentally ill. I was neglected as a child. If you cannot trust your parents how do you trust a loving invisible energy, to be there for you. This was a big awareness for me. Over time, I was asking for the willingness to trust my Creator.

As I grew in this awareness, I realized that I had seen a commercial years ago about an insurance company. They were promoting people to trust in them. The advertisement showed a man on the edge of the cliff. He was invited to walk off the cliff into the hands of the insurance company and rely on them. I thought of my stepping into the hands of my Creator where I would be safe. This step of faith was not easy. However, as I was practicing faith, I realized that trust was not harmful and would bring me a conscious connection in a relationship with my higher power. I saw my challenge as an opportunity as if I were stepping up stars each time needing more faith for the next scary experience. It felt like I kept adding faith with the next step up. I felt more confidence over time.

With my newfound trust and faith, I continued to release the past baggage of fear, guilt, shame, resentment, anger and more. Replacing each one with love and grace felt good. . It made room for the next higher feelings to have space. I was camping at Death Valley National Park when in meditation. I actually felt grace and it was not just a word now it was a feeling.

Over the years while continuing to peel the onion, I now realize that it is also called growing up. I was outgrowing the past of a fear-based life from earlier mistreatment. The barriers to that truth are not blocking it like in the past. With many years of releasing the past and future worry, I moved into an experience of finding The Great Reality deep down within me. I have a new pair of glasses. I see only the love.

Love does heal. Lately, my medical concerns are improving. It feels like I am healing those conditions. I never felt so good; I am a happy, contented person and love my days helping others. In sharing my experiences, strength, and hope, I have a new life. Becoming a new person brings wonderful gifts, I never expected. Receiving respect and being honored by friends is a new world. I am not the same person who was dying years ago.

Changing my inner consciousness into love allows me to project the love of my existence and brings self-love and self-esteem. I see the light at the end of the tunnel, finally. My gift this Christmas is that I am still alive 38 years after the doctor told me, I was dying. . My Christmas gift this year is celebrating my new life and that I am still alive to enjoy the blessings that have been waiting for me.

Transforming to Victory

 By Marilyn Redmond

My path to a better life brings new ideas and understandings for growing. Acknowledging that my life was desperate brought a new vision. Through many perils, I learned that self-honesty is the best policy. I thought I was a great manager, keeping me safe from harm. The truth is that I was the walking dead, terrified, and looked anorexic. I had to come out of my denial and fantasy.

My castle in the sky saw myself as a wonderful person, who was there for everyone. I took care of my family, taught school, went to church, and I worked in the family printing business on my off hours from teaching. My real dreams were left in the dust. The toughest part for me was to acknowledge that I have to change my mindset and behaviors of reacting from being a fear based person into responding in loving solutions. Realizing my life was actually based in fear was life changing.

As I began my new journey into honesty, I discovered that I was a control freak. It is not my job to figure out the outcome. My motivation was not from love but survival and need. I moved from functioning in the problem to focusing on the solution.

Learning that walking in faith brings better results was a new idea for me. In addition, it was not my job to manage my life; allowing intuition to guide my next right indicated situation works well. I can I release my negative emotions, thinking, and responses, and replace them with my new healthy ways of accepting conditions without judgments and criticisms; then I feel better. Today, I do the necessary footwork for my part while leaving the results to the universe. Amazingly, I found the outcome is better than I could have arranged.

It has taken several years to identify and release my old thinking, emotions, and reactions into trust, healthy communications, and good feelings. The inner work has been worth it. After my divorce and on my own, I could focus on me to create a new foundation for life. My book, Paradigm Busters, Reveal the Real You on Amazon, has the steps I took.

Continuing on my path of fresh beginnings, I found I needed to make amends to those I had harmed. It was not my nature to harm a person. However, I needed to make a few amends and restitution to resolve my old actions and relationships.

Moreover, I found my negative emotions did damage others. I could not love my family if I were full of fear. Fear stops love. I was not that wonderful person because my optimistic emotions were blocked by past harms and terror. When I cleared my side of the street, the world turned in a novel direction.

In meditation, I was told to treat myself like a princess, because I was the daughter of the King of Kings. I made a vow to myself not to place myself in harmful situations, again. I cleaned out my old emotions to clear my channel for extending real loving thoughts. In this inner work, my feelings can move from my heart to others. I live my amends from a bright place. Living my amends means that I send healthy energy and treat others well.

I had always felt like a victim in my abusive marriage. It took eighteen years after my divorce to feel my part in some of our clashes in my domestic violent relationship. Surprisingly, I unwittingly participated; I was not the victim and he the bad person. In a realization, I found that I unintentional was defending myself from my past harms. To him it felt like I was as attacking him akin to shooting him with a gun, but at a subconscious level. Inadvertently, I was invisibly attacking him. Others saw his observable reactions of defending himself as his attacking me. I got honest and realized I was the cause of many conflicts. Sadly, this passive-aggressive game intensified over years.

Owning my side of the difficulties brought the understanding that I was as much at fault. I could no longer make him out to be the awful person. This was a huge admission. We were emotionally two little children trying to make it in an adult world, but hurting each other in the process. Finally, I wrote him a letter of apology for my side of our troubles.

I continuously prayed for his well being and forgiveness. This served me well when, several years later, I was invited to our twin grandsons’ high school graduation. For the 48 hours of celebrations and the ceremony, I was able to be around my ex-husband and not play the victim. I stayed in my adult consciousness. I did not play the old game. This was an enormous victory for me. I had matured. He had been my teacher to find the real me.

I had not seen him after our divorce, except for our grandchildren's’ graduation. When I was notified of his death, it upset and touched me more than I would have guessed. My grief blind sighted me. Finally, I understood the damaging childhood that he had to play this part in my life. Today, I am glad that I had the courage to own up to my part of our difficulties. I needed to become forgiving, be in gratitude, find compassion, and have unconditional love for him. In grieving, the past was left behind.

Surprisingly, I have grown beyond reacting from my past harms. In my prayers and meditations, I have thanked him. His part in my life brought me into adulthood. I now have empathy and a clean heart. Finally, I have peace and serenity. I am pleased to have a healthy life style today. My weakness became my strength; I am empowered. I learned this was my path for adulthood. My reward is that I am liberated to live in the “Now”.

Sorting the Truth from the False

                                                                     Marilyn L. Redmond

There were several unspoken laws in our family. I lived in a lack of truth as telling the truth was a slip-up. Consequently, I did not tell myself the truth and lived in the fantasy of pretending that our family had no problems and that we were all right.

In the last column, I wrote about breaking the rule of "no talk". In my adult life, I no longer had to pretend. Instead of hiding the real story, it was essential for me to find a safe place to break the long time silence. Fortunately, there are support and recovery programs that support the ability to tell the truth with no reprisal. It became possible to share my fears and secrets safely when I found a higher power that would love me, no matter what I related from my past.

My earliest memories were watching my parents deal with life. As a child growing up, I never questioned their reactions to life situation. I lived in their lack of reality. Finally, I had to separate the truth from the false. This was frightening because I would finally have to remove my mask of looking good.

Breaking the code of silence was very scary at first. Was I betraying my family by stepping out of the shadows into the light of truth? I found enough courage to open up and expose the truth because I wanted out of my hell. At first, I wrote out my resentments, fears, and behaviors that plagued me. Facing these facts was not easy after years of hiding them.

My first honesty was with a counselor. A bigger picture enfolded seeing my denials, selfishness, and dishonesty. Cleaning up my side of the street was becoming necessary to bring facts into the issues. I never saw myself without liabilities before. It became obvious to me while discussing my reactions to life challenges, I had acted like the scared child that I was. I was still three years old seeing life through my survival eyes of seeing my father beat my mother. I had never grown up. I tried to be perfect so I would not be physically attacked. Seeing where I was fearful brought new insights.

I found that my biggest fear came from trying to avoid bodily harm. Discovering that as an adult, I could remove myself from unsafe places, was life changing. This would give me the ability emotionally to grow up. Claiming my power as a child of a loving higher power gave me the courage to take care of me. It was time to grow up.

Surprisingly, I found a new understanding after my opening up with a trusted friend who understood what I wanted to accomplish. It was the right time to start my journey of honesty, with myself and another person. One important piece of awareness was that every time I pointed my finger of blame there were three fingers pointing back at me, she informed me. If I were blaming others, I was not taking responsibility for my part.

I realized that my survival had created a selfish person by using others for my security. I was looking for love from parents who could not love. I married thinking I would find love. Growing up, I reacted in fear that I learned from my parents along with fear I experienced from my own abuse. As an adult, I have a choice to respond more appropriately.

Sharing my hurts and harms of growing up and from my abusive marriage were finally being told. As my parents had severe childhoods growing up, they had not matured, either. They could not teach me how to respond in loving solutions to life issues. I was looking for love in all the wrong places. My favorite quote from A Course in Miracles, says, “Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all of the barriers within yourself that you have built against it. It is not necessary to seek for what is true, but it is necessary to seek for what is false.”

I could release my fears as I moved into faith. Recognizing that I could not have faith and fear at the same time gave me choice. I prefer to walk in faith today and have outgrown the childish fearful reactions of my past. Now, I understood that I could move forward into a new adventure of being fearless.

My new journey was forward into the light, leaving the darkness. After responding in a positive way to life challenges, it feels like I am in the presence of love. I heard the phrase, "Turn to your Father of Light in all things". It now became clear to me the light would dispel the darkness as turning on the light switch in a dark room.

More understanding came as I sorted out my old thinking and ideas. I had worried about my financial insecurity from my mother's stressful childhood. Now, I realized that I always had a roof over my head and food at dinner.

My biggest illumination came while sorting out the truth from a childhood request. During the episode of seeing my dad beat by mother, I prayed to be off the face of the earth so he would not beat me, too. It was like a death wish. Every drink of alcohol or pill was a nail in my coffin. My addictions were killing me from the death wish of a three year old.

I finally understood that my father was never going to beat me. He treated me like a princess. I had spent a life living out the need to protect myself based in a false belief of a three year old. I emotionally had blocked his kindness to me from my false belief that I would be physically hurt like my mother. Recognizing that the arguments between my mother and dad were about their difficulties and not about me brought a new awareness. Releasing the past and future fantasies from my head is a gradual victory. I no longer need to listen to my brain’s messages that kept repeating from events that hold no meaning anymore.

Understanding that I wrote my life’s script to move my energy into unreserved love was a new piece of information. Transforming my thinking to forgiveness, compassion, gratitude, and unconditional love gave me a new perception. I can now see through the eyes of God and know all is good.  These people played their parts for me to discover reality. I could move from a fear-based life into a love- based life. I can choose to be a love-finder rather than a faultfinder. Finally, I found my inner peace.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Becoming Fearless

Recognizing that my life was a reaction to fear was a shock. Realizing that I was walking fear, guilt, and shame was a huge surprise. It made sense that I was self-centeredness and selfishness from my survival instincts. Fear was the basis of all my negative feelings. Learning that fear could be interpreted as "False Emotions Appearing Real" helped me dispel fears as I began my spiritual journey. My new commitment to become a love-based person became a sincere declaration.

Life is an inside job. Fearful feelings can be terrified of speaking in front of a group or not being able to get in a car unless you are the one driving. Staying in fear is hazardous. Typically, fear is feedback to inform you to move forward into a loving perception of faith, acceptance, or gratitude. I wanted to learn more about fear. I knew that the source of this wisdom could come from a more advanced soul. Matthew of the Bible explained fear for me by channeling through his mother, Suzy Ward,

"The energy of fear forms a barrier between the feared object or circumstances and the energy of light. Because of the barrier, the light in the souls of fear-full people cannot reach their consciousness to dispel the power of those fears over their lives, and the light being sent to them by light workers cannot penetrate.

The barrier feels like a real wall, isolating the person with the consuming fear and leaving no way out. This energy blockage of the light intensifies the power of whatever is feared, thus enabling it to draw to itself more manifestations to be feared. Fear is wildly contagious, and due to its magnification in power, fear sensation streamers have sticky edges that attract the kinds of energetic interactions that omit common sense, sound judgment, and wise decisions.

Fear is so insidious that it can convince a person that the only way to escape is through portals leading deeper and deeper into darkness. Fear is the forebear of such actions or characteristics deemed prejudice, tyranny, greed, cruelty, belligerence, deception, dishonor, and hatred, and even those seemingly senseless tortures or deaths of innocents arise through psyches that have been twisted and tormented by fears.

The light, in which love and universal knowledge and spiritual clarity abide, cannot reach those souls to let them know their spiritual powers are far stronger than anything the dark powers can conjure to frighten them. Nothing is stronger than the light, which is the gift to every soul of the love and power of God." Matthew’s messages are posted on www.matthewbooks.com

There are steps to take me into alignment with the universe. The book, "A Course in Miracles", says, "Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it. It is not necessary to seek for what is true, but it is necessary to seek for what is false." In addition, it says that nothing outside me can save me or give me peace.

Fear causes us to ‘react’. This means giving away my power by believing the fear has influence over me. This creates the victim mentality. The result is a loss of self-esteem feeling hopeless and helpless. The goal is to discern the kind of fearful feelings and courageously move beyond. This is when it is necessary to turn within for power.

When I realize that love has power and that fear is powerless, I find a constructive solution. I can move beyond and the fear leaves. My next course of action was to identify all my fears, one by one. Where was I selfish, dishonest, frightened, or inconsiderate? Whom had I harmed? These were questions to find where I need to be honest with myself.

Another way to view fear is "a lack of information". Herbert Spencer, one of the most discussed Victorian thinkers, once said, “There is a principal which is a bar against all information, which is proof against all arguments and which cannot fail to keep a man in everlasting ignorance,—that principle is contempt prior to investigation”. When you gather the data and get good information, the fear dissipates. Knowledge is empowering. It is said that to be well informed is to have the world at your fingers.

In my inventory of fears, I found that those fears disappeared as I found truthful answers to resolve the fear. Over time, I found that I had relied on my ego that gave me negative messages producing the fear, rather than depended on the love of the universe to be there for me. As a child, I was reacting from abusive situations to protect myself. In my growing up, I could alter my fear to faith, by moving from negative to positive inner messages from my heart. I changed my old thinking of beliefs, and feelings from the past, to being safe in the arms of God.

When I was substitute teaching in a classroom one day, we were studying the ‘Weekly Reader Newspaper', a child newspaper of current events. On the front page was a chart of the ages that you outgrow different fears. Have you outgrown your fears yet? The light went on when I found that I had not outgrown my immature reaction to life's challenges. Instead of reacting as a child, I can respond in loving resolutions to the situations.

I made the decision to respond through forgiveness and love to all of life's challenges. Facing up to the next indicated ordeal in my life is reality. I can no longer run from the ordeal. It is also called maturity.

I cannot have fear and faith at the same time. I have become fearless by releasing my old fears and replacing them with love and grace. My revelation only sees the good in life today. My new choice is to walk in faith, daily. My book, "Paradigm Busters Reveal the Real You" has the steps sharing how I am transforming my life.

How Do You Harness Your Energy?

Have you often felt powerless and without control of your life? Are we really lacking the ability to influence your circumstances? Why do some people get the great results, while you sit on the sidelines?

You have energy in your life. The answer lies in how you use your inner spirit often labeled energy. Some people ignore this beneficial influence and some people have learned to harness their energy and use it well. It is often called chi, prana, or vital life force. An invisible, beneficent, vibrating force that gives us growth and manifests in my life is a new thought for some.

Spiritual power is invisible and usually not included for personal direction and guidance in life. This power can also be thought of as a Creative Intelligence or universal consciousness underlying the totality of things. Edgar Cayce the great psychic of the 20th century called it the Creative Forces and in the movie, Star Wars, called it "The Force".

Over the ages, the message has been that we have little influence over our predicaments. In the past, I believed that I would always be in a terrible, horrible, and painful life being raised and married into domestic violence. After years of playing the victim and giving away my power, I discovered that I did not have to do that. It was time to stop volunteering to be a victim.

Finding different ways to manifest a healthier life style became my new goal.* First, I had to be committed to going to any lengths to change my old ways and ideas. They brought on my depression, harm, and illness. The old ideas were ingrained in me from my family, church, medicine, school, and societies' rules. Instead, I had to trust my inner love/light to support me.

My answer was to change my thoughts and beliefs for new results. I could alter my thinking into a new productive mindset. My imprisonment from false beliefs and thinking could bring freedom. Transforming my attitudes from negative to the positive became a major challenge for my new way of living.

Affirmations became my new encouraging view. Realizing they were simple statements of truth surprised me. I discovered that I had lived in fantasy and not reality. I felt changes happening.
The fact is fear attracts fearful results. Fearful messages edge God out. As I let go of each fear, I started to merge more of God's love and grace in to fill the empty space left.

I began to identify each of my ego's messages that were projecting fear and producing my lifelong misery. That there is a universal law that "Like attracts like" became a new understanding. Sending out loving energy would improve my circumstances. I cannot have fear and faith at the same time.

Staying in fear keeps me immature. A child is afraid of the Boogie Man. With the light of truth, the darkness leaves. I can then respond in a loving mature response. Because I was truly wanting a happy life, my ego needed to be reduced from running the show.*

Discovering a hundred forms of fear was my chief motivation was a new understanding. I found fearful ideas created irrational results. They were the obstacles to a better life; I was ready to let them go. That is why I never could improve my life. I learned, "Let go and let God". I also used a God Box where I placed a piece of paper with each named fear written on it, to release them from my mind.  Life started to feel better. It was working.

In addition, resentments had to be recognized and released. They are symbolic of a little child throwing a temper tantrum because something or someone did not go their way. Transforming the anger of the resentment into being upset and then disappointed, I found that furious energy gradually dissolves. Today, I choose to act in helpful ways and forgive.

Directing my power beyond the childish responses opens new doors to abundance and prosperity. This brings a new sense of security and comfort.

Messages of my lack of security and lack of love from the ego were the only obstacles to manifesting happiness and prosperity. Therefore, allowing spirit to flow through me and expand is necessary. Spirituality is energy in expansion. Watching the miracles appear is amazing.

Spirituality is very practical. Moving into a loving basis was exciting to me. My life began to bloom. Changing negative thoughts, words, or actions into positive ones made a difference.
I found a decorative plaque in a bookstore that listed the fruits of the spirit.  But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law."Galatians 5:22-23 is a typical list for the aspects of spirituality. Each week, I practice a different aspect and apply it in my life. Over time, my progress has shown harmony and peace. This is my reward.

When I express gratitude, even more goodness manifests. Listing everything for which I am grateful and adding to my gratitude list, brings further happiness. In addition, learning forgiveness is a major change for me. This removes the victim chains to the past. I found compassion for those people, as they are hurting from their own problems. Learning that we are all one in spirit brings unconditional love. I can love the person and not the behavior.

These ideas change everything. I am free to be myself. Stopping my reacting in fear to responding in love is empowering. I move beyond resentments and fear into maturity knowing everything is exactly as it needs to be for my lessons in growing up. Trusting that the universe will support me in all things brings peace of mind and grace. Being of assistance to others from my newfound love in my heart brings "Heaven on Earth".
